Getting There
Your hosts, Mellen and Patricia, will pick you up at the train station in Périgueux. You are responsible for making your own train reservations and letting us know when you will arrive. We will coordinate arrival schedules with all members of the tour in advance and help you make your reservations.
The French National Railway website is www.sncf.com. There, you can view schedules and itineraries and make reservations. There are several ways to get to Périgueux by train:
1. Take the TGV from either CDG airport to Bordeaux or the Gare Montparnasse to Bordeaux and connect to a local TER train to Périgueux.
2. Take the TGV from either CDG airport to Libourne or the Gare Montparnasse to Libourne and connect to a local TER train to Périgueux.
3. Take the regular train from the Gare d'Austerlitz to Périgueux. All of these trains either stop for about 10 minutes in Limoges and then continue to Périgueux or connect in Limoges to another train to Périgueux.
Note that there are special PREM discount fares (see upper right-hand corner of the home page of the SNCF website) that are often available to Bordeaux for €25 or less. This is often the least expensive of the train options.

At the end of your tour, should you be returning to Paris by train, you should reserve a spot on the TGV from the Avignon TGV station (there are two stations in Avignon). You are likely to be able to find PREM fares for that ride, too.
